The Carats is an Indian Jewellery brand, which offers  fine quality jewellery, studded with semi precious and precious gemstones. Be it simple studs for daily wear or Dangles for a party or a casual evening wear, you get to shop the entire range here. Our pieces of art, as we proudly refer to,  are made of 92.5 Sterling Silver. All the gold toned jewellery is plated in real gold.  

 Let me walk you through my journey so far….

 I am Rakshita, a Commerce graduate and an Advanced Diploma holder in Japanese language. I worked for a company for 4 years handling offshore operations of its Japanese branch. Subsequently worked as  a freelance Japanese translator for a couple of years.  The desire to do business pulled me back towards it.

 As a student, I pursued various hobbies like music,embroidery, Ikebana etc. out of which Candle making excited me the most. So much so, that just after I made my first Gel candle, the idea of giving it to different stores in the city struck me. With absolutely no business background whatsoever, I thought, “lemme jump into the waters and I shall learn to swim”.  My motto was simple, 'the quality of no single piece should be compromised. I shall sell only what I would buy as a customer’. The quality and variety of my candles was very much liked and got me repeat customers, which was a very satisfying experience in my young student life. 

 While I was in the corporate world, finding jewellery which would be suitable for office attire was tough. Stone studded jewellery was restricted to expensive gold jewellery or glass stones in imitation jewellery. Skin and pocket friendly jewellery was tough to get. Gemstones always fascinated me. I am a Reiki practitioner and used to be thrilled to see my Master use Crystals.  The naturally formed structure and the lustre of the gemstones was very intriguing.  

 As I grew up, so did my interest in Gemstone Jewellery.  Whenever I sought to buy, I realised that most gemstone jewellery pieces are made of 22K gold, making them jewellery for the locker.  If combined with Sterling Silver, they could be used  more frequently.  This was the thought behind the birth of The Carats. 

Every piece of The Carats is crafted by experienced hands, skilled and trained in this craft for over generations. Apart from that every piece is thoroughly examined before it is shipped to the customer.

I believe that everything done with heart is done well. For me, jewellery is more than just an accessory, it is a form of  expression, a boost of confidence and a symbol of love when gifted to self or others.  It is my hope that you feel more than just satisfied with The Carats' product.  We aspire to make you feel lifted and inspired.
